shopping cart chair
found the shopping cart next to a parking lot on my route to school, after driving by it every day for two weeks i couldn't resist leaving it there any longer, i took it back to the studio and that's how the shopping cart chair was created
gently took it apart and started trying out different combinations with the three large pieces, a little later i puzzled the parts together so that with only one steel rod i could hold the whole chair together under tension, resulting in this surprisingly comfortable chair
challenged myself by using only the shopping cart and no other parts or tools, also the steel rod that was used to keep everything together under tension was part of the shopping cart, wheels were saved for a future project
the remarkable shape keeps surprising me every time, almost a year later and still one of my favorite projects, not only the result but also the story, the shape and how it was made
